The promise

In the eyes of the goddess, we were bound,

With the air and fire, water and ground.

Our hearts were entwined, forever more,

We fly up with the eagles, eager to soar.

With arm in arm or hand in hand,

Together forever, we will stand.

We're perfect together, you and I,

It's hard to explain, the reason why.

We are so alike, and so in tune,

Together, we dance, under the moon.

Light a candle and sing me a spell,

To lonely nights, we bid farewell.

For we have our love, we have each other,

Sing me a song, of our earthly mother.

Let’s walk together, hand in hand,

Along the beach, feeling the sand.

The sun is setting, as the day becomes night,

Looking across the water, beholding the sight.

The cool breeze, blowing in our hair,

The crashing waves, adding to the flair.

This will be our night, escaping reality,

Together alone, sharing in our affinity.

Enjoying the sunset and the beach together,

Both of us wanting this night to last forever.
