The Perfect Night
The Perfect Night
Our eyes met when she came out of the car,
She was back from the institution, I was back from the bar.
And then we both chatted by that hour.
Like every time, she left my mouth ajar.
On the seashore, there was high tide,
She came to me and sat beside,
We walked her home, then we went inside,
Want to be my tourist, I wanna be her guide.
Dusk was falling rapidly by that time,
I'm holding her hand and she's holding mine,
Everything is now just going fine,
Lit up the bonfire and had a bottle of wine.
And soon we're on the cloud nine,
At that impeccable moment then we sit to dine,
I'm gonna put this in next time when I write,
About Me and You and this perfect night.
