The Morning Sunlight
The Morning Sunlight
Sparkles on the sky
Fireflies at night
Lights and glory
Kisses and hugs and wishes
That's how my new year started.
Smile on my lips
And death in my heart,
I wanted a new start.
How can I move on, after all this time?
The years spent on building a path to
A destination I never reached.
I looked at my hands and all the labor
And the pain was visible
Not to the naked eye but to my lonely heart.
I shouted,
"Enough is enough!"
Life is pain, life is tough
Life is not a bed of roses
I need to get up
And to seize the day,
I waited for the night to pass
I saw the first morning sunlight
Show me a new path, a path of my own.
No more unknown destination.
I knew myself well enough.
