The Mirror

The Mirror

The weight of the world has fallen

on deaf ears.

The scrolls uncurled, but yet we

don't face our fear.

Our future is clear, because we

play in the dark.

The target is near, and yet we're

missing the mark.

So many embark on a trail of

destruction.

Don't see the stark effects of

corruption.

The seduction is too much

for our innocence to take.

The deduction is for us to

individually make.

Fake and plastic, the persona

many wear.

Faces like elastic, they don't

even wanna care.

Dare anyone do wrong to the

righteous narcissist.

There's nothing as strong, as

a meek pacifist.

The mark that we missed, has

become a moving target.

The dark that we kissed, has

just made us a part of it.

Hit and miss philosophy comes

with no guarantees.

Sit for this last prophecy,

and stand at the wall over seas.

Please leave when you get here.

Drop what you may find.

These people live for the fear.

Stop putting yourself in a bind.

Behind, is where the past should

stay. It's just there to remind you.

Rewind to see your past mistakes,

you will find a future renewed.

The state of the world has blinded

the spiritually needed third eye.

The pennant bowls are being

unfurled, revelation is nigh.

Try to understand, things are not

as they might physically appear.

The true plight of man, is the war

we see, when we look in the mirror.
