The Middle Ground
The Middle Ground
The Middle Ground
There is a giant fork in the middle of the road
The path that you are on is overgrown
The weeds of doubt are left unkept
The seeds you've sown are growing fast
But the other path is gleaming with fantastic warmth
As fresh new sunlight is shining there
Like gravity the pull is so immense
With the strength of hope you can't recompense
As you saunter on your life long journey
There will be tough decisions you will have to make
With a sense of purpose the choice you take
Will either make of brake you for goodness sake
You are undecided and with feelings still
For the path that lingers with emotions
Now you are standing still and wondering why
For the sake of the seedlings you want to try
To find a way back onto that beaten path
That once bloomed with sunlight bathing in hope
But the other path is so close at hand
This is a hard road that you are traveling on
So you figure in your mind that you will take your time
And find a way to carry on this journey you have to take
Because the wrong choice could be detrimental
If chosen in haste for the sake of the seedlings
