The Lost Senses
The Lost Senses
Look at the swarm of levered puppets
Heads bent over fancy gizmos
Shutting their eyes to the world outside
Mind numbed to the rhythm outdoors.
To the war cries, they don't take heed
Gone neglected is the euphony of birds
One's own voice in the head goes unheard
And utterly deaf to nature's sounds.
The world tears apart but they budge not
Down, down, further down we drown
Of hope or change the sealed lips speak not
In wait for all to burn down.
Without a valiant fight for the purpose
Are we to become one with the dust
Like the roaring cursed waves
That does not touch the shores?
