Gender Equality
'You' happened to be a man, 'I' a woman
Then there are the others, we hesitate to give names.
But you, I, and they together form the human race
In the same planet, under the same sky
Which is pink for me and blue for you
They on the other hand have no color.
You ought to be strong, can't shed any tears
For a tear is the epitome of weakness
You cannot have the audacity to show.
I am privileged for I can cry on any season
As my tears hold no value just like a body without a soul.
You ought to be the family's head
I have to be the caregiver,
They on the other hand got no family to share.
You cannot dress like me, I cannot undress like you.
You don't even get reserved seats
Neither in bus nor trains
But 'I' and 'they' need to be preserved,
For we might get extinct
If our seats are not reserved.
You, I and they surprising to say,
live on the same planet
Under the same sky
But for once at all, if I could paint my sky blue,
You paint yours pink
And they can mix up both as they wish,
Will the sky fall over our head
Or the seasons will deny changing?
It's a question I want to ask the human race.
