The lie they were forced to live

The girl once asked her mother some questions

“Why is it that you live a lie? Why is it that in the darkness you cry?

Why is it that you let this go by?

Why is it that father hide?

Why is it that we all live a lie?”

To this the mother replied

“Due to this lie, we all survive.

Due to this lieu have a school to go by.

Due to this lie, we can pretend to smile.

Due to this lie, there is food to try.

This is why we live a lie.”

The girl looked at her mother and asked

“Why does father not love you anymore?

Why does father stay with the woman next door?

Why does father pretend to still smile at us?

Why does father act in front of us?

Why does father make us live a lie?”

To this the mother replied

“It is because we live in a society.

It is because he was forced to have me.

It is because he hid his true love.

It is because he has 3 children to take care of.

It is because our house can survive only through a lie.”
