The Helpless Heart
The Helpless Heart
Over the bricks of emotions,
There laid a home of heart;
With some seen and unseen cracks,
Cemented with smiles and tears.
Each day it took to build,
Was a length of time chosen;
That streamed over and over,
With a galaxy of thoughts.
What does it cost is hard to tell,
As there was no count of efforts;
They simply flew like a free river,
While the mind sank in it.
Well, it was unconditional,
With no expectations of return;
All that mattered was a glimpse,
Of a smile that spectates from far.
