The Flying Tortoise
The Flying Tortoise
In the land of fables and lore,
Lived a tortoise unlike any before.
For he had a dream, a lofty goal,
To fly like birds, and reach the sky's sole.
He toiled hard, day and night,
Building wings with all his might.
The other animals laughed and jeered,
For they thought his dream was weird.
But the tortoise persevered and strived,
With determination that never died.
And one fine day, he took to flight,
Soaring high, with all his might.
The other animals watched in awe,
As the tortoise flew without a flaw.
He soared above the clouds so fair,
And breathed in the cool, crisp air.
He flew over mountains and seas,
And felt the wind rush past with ease.
He saw the world in a different light,
A view that filled him with delight.
And when the day drew to a close,
The tortoise returned to his humble abode.
But he felt a sense of pride and glee,
For he had achieved his dream, finally.
The other animals now looked up to him,
For they knew he was no longer dim.
For the tortoise that once couldn't fly,
Was now the one who ruled the sky.
