The Flame and the Shadow

The Flame and the Shadow

Beneath the banyan’s ancient shade,

Where time and tales in silence fade,

A love was born, pure as the dew,

A bond unbroken, strong and true.

She was the flame, he was the night,

Her laughter bright, his calm, quiet.

Her eyes held dreams of skies so wide,

His heart, a sea where hopes would hide.

They walked through fields of golden grain,

Through monsoon’s song, through winter’s pain.

Her voice, a tune the winds would chase,

His love, a fortress, her sacred space.

But fate, it spins its tangled thread,

And paths are lit where tears are shed.

One day he left, with no goodbye,

To shield her dreams, to let them fly.

For in her heart, a fire burned,

A world to conquer, a life to earn.

He knew her wings were meant to soar,

And so he closed love’s fragile door.

She wept beneath the banyan tree,

Where once they vowed their destiny.

Yet in her grief, she came to see,

His sacrifice had set her free.

Now years have passed, the flame still glows,

Through every high, through every low.

Her heart, a canvas, paints his name,

In every stroke, in every frame.

For love is not just touch or sight,

It’s giving all, it’s fading light.

It’s sacrifice, it’s silent grace,

It’s finding home in one embrace.

So beneath the banyan, she still stands,

With dreams fulfilled, and weathered hands.

And though he’s gone, his love remains,

A timeless tune through joy and pains.

The End...
