The Fear

Today everyone is in fear,

For losing someone very close and dear.

The sword of death hanging above the head,

Always targeting someone to behead.

Silent prayers are heard everywhere,

For those staying far and near.

Yesterday life was like a smooth wheel,

Commuting places was not a big deal.

Today life has come to a halt,

No one knows whom to blame for the fault.

People are learning to work digitally,

Who never thought of doing things virtually.

Praising the selfless efforts of the warriors,

For going fearless and crossing all the barriers.

Now risking life is not a game of dare,

The well of death is present every where.

Social distancing is today's norm,

Staying indoors can only bring reform.

The dusks are making way for a new dawn,

Everyone hopes to hear that the fear has gone.

The fear has gone!!
