The Fallen Superhero..!!

Over the setting sun, he stands stooping

His frame bent with expectations

His head hangs low, his cape is burnt.

His tears rolling down, but he does not care.

His cape it did shine, it did fly high

When she giggled and said, “You are my superhero!!”

Into the land of mythical creatures, they flew

Where there were laughs, and love was abundant.

All he wished for was the master clock

The one he could use to freeze time

So that the moment would last forever.

But alas! Time flew pass. Faster than he thought.

He failed her many a times, failed to love

Failed to be there when he was needed.

He did set his priorities and got it all wrong

He collected stones thinking they are gold.

Today as he stands over the setting sun,

As tears roll down his cheeks, he makes his last wish.

He wishes for a time-machine to go back to the moment

When she giggled and said, “You are my superhero, Dad!!”
