Man kept burning in the fire of ego,
He lost affection and love in the fire of ego.
With head held high, never looking at anyone with regard,
He continued to harbor hatred in the fire of ego.
Never speaking sweetly, nor looking upon others with love,
He walked in arrogance through the fire of ego.
Even after receiving the knowledge of a guru, yet he failed to understand,
Sinking deeper into ignorance in the fire of ego.
Keeping everyone under its control, he continued to commit oppression,
Forgetting humanity himself in the fire of ego.
He drowned into pride, he could never become humble,
“Murali” he turned to ashes in the fire of ego.
