The Curious Case Of Two Trees

On either side of the river called “life”, two trees stand tall 

Opposite in nature each on the opposite side of the river bank sprawl

Well-known in the world, as the “Ode-Oak” and “Sly Sandbox” they exist

Full of powers, from top to bottom charisma they exhibit

Their face-off comes into action as soon as they spot a traveller passing by

Both try to showcase their abilities to each cruiser cruising by

Both are contagious, with their mesmeric ability to give out their respective vibes

Try to colour in their colours the wanderers who on the river take their ride

Surrounded by weeds the “Sly-sandbox” spreads stench negative

Taproots deep-down covered in amoral-soil corruptive

Hair roots not too deep but laced in blind belief all around

Oh, and its twigs are all but droopy and saggy wearing froggy frowns

Its branches spread wide and far but were struck by grief permanently

Its bark at all places appears as it's scratched by fear terribly

While its trunk is broad but weakened with misdeeds clumsy

Leaves are all dark and brown falling in all directions like they too are grumpy

Its fruits have a taste bitter for it is full of selfishness

While its flowers do not bloom fully due to their laziness

Its shape itself exhibits lethargy and depression

Its height however tall wilted with the burden of demotivation

Under its shade people who sit only have sad yawns

While the birds never come near bit in panic fly away in throngs

It’s a gossip box one that spreads stories full of rumors

This dangerous “Sly sandbox” lures one and all towards continuous

Surrounded by wildflowers the “Ode-oak” spreads the scent of positivity

The taproots are deep and strong percolated by productivity

It’s hair-roots spreads fluently just like bubbles flying freely

The twigs too stay smile-struck by giggles dizzily

Its branches are like wide open wings full of energy double

And its bark oh! so proudly shows confidence commendable

While its trunk is bold and beautiful displays courage unbound

Its leaves so lush green tap dancing in the breeze in happiness drowned

Fruits too full of sweetness for full of kindness

Flowers too in full bloom filled with enthusiasm and precious

Its shape is luminous overflowing with inspiration and pleasantness

Its peak too is a symbol representing its height of peacefulness

Under its shade, one and all can have a life full of blitheness

Birds perched and build their nests on its branches as they are full of calmness

It’s the epitome of ingenuity it sways with a swag of creativity

With all these goodies “Ode-oak” attracts one and all towards it continuously

Both are equally strong in their will to attract and grab

But neither the “Ode-oak” nor the “Sly-sandbox” can trap

To be on the “Ode-oak” or the “Sly-sandbox” side

You the passerby can only decide.
