THE BYGONE SCHOOL DAYS
THE BYGONE SCHOOL DAYS
# TO ALL MY CLASSMATES ....
My reasoning mind turns so childish
When recollecting those school days.
What had been a burden once
Now has become so dear to my heart.
I wish to get back to them, at least in dreams.
So close we had been for years once.
Time drove us to leave those classrooms
With the promises of a wedding invitation.
Years passed, and no invitations arrived
Seeking my address, nor did I invite any.
Maybe those precious bonds are lost forever,
As the lost autograph that was so priceless.
We never thought that time would be so callous to us,
Robbing of our friendship and all its colors.
That's life; the future brings in new companions.
Had I been with those friends forever,
What else do I have to cherish in life?
I admire and long for those days again.
It's life that brings an undesired distance,
And that makes memories so sweet and nostalgic.
