The Buddhist Statue
The Buddhist Statue
It was never easy
To make me
Once with marble and stone
Now with the greenest moss
It was never easy
To see me
Once a statue of discussion
Now a mere point of inspection
It was never easy
To be me
Once a symbol of influence
Now a mere broken memory
That's the whole point
It was never easy for me
Yet I remain unshattered
Amongst your broken eyes
