THE BLIND HEARTS
THE BLIND HEARTS
They were indifferent,
As if the eyes were blind
To see my achievements.
My mind swayed like a fragile tree.
Nothing noble emanated off their narrow hearts;
Their tongues were scared to ignite my spirit,
But I shall not stumble
Even in the darkest of nights.
Because I had been through it often,
And I shall not lose heart,
For many have in me huge hopes.
I shall not return defeated,
Like a coward knight.
Their eyes will witness my fight,
Till I return triumphant.
I am a feeble candle;
You may blow the fire off within me,
Not for a lifetime
But for just minutes.
I shall shimmer even more,
Because I have a heart
That never accepts failure.
