The Bindi and theStiletto Girl
The Bindi and theStiletto Girl
I have the bandwidth to handle it,
The awesome combination of saree, bindi, bangles, and high heels,
I believe that everyone has the right,
To be as they like and dance reels.
And though I keep my friends close,
I prefer to keep my critics closer as I believe that,
The process of metamorphosis can surely happen,
If one can reform oneself after facing constructive criticism.
I may not understand all the laws of science,
And inventions in the field of,
Physics, chemistry, biology, or mathematics,
But I have faith in them as I have faith in God,
As they have changed our world's dynamics,
Making it a better abode.
I do my 'pujas' and try to nurture nature,
Wearing my saree, I embark on life's adventures,
I jingle my bangles and do not try to resist change,
And embrace the colors of life in all its range.
I try to practice equality in all aspects of life,
I try to raise my children,
With democratic values of all kinds.
I have an equal knack for learning both driving and sewing,
I truly believe in new beginnings.
And, oh yes, like all girls,
I love to dress up, mainly in my sarees, and have a huge crush on,
For stilettos designed by Jimmy Choo.
You see, I wear Bindi and braid my mane,
And I am modern too!
Note: Reel is a kind of lively Irish and Scottish folk dance.
