The Beach

The ocean is on a high

And the wind hums a lullaby

I watch and hear

Nature taking over my fears

The trees rustle

Whispering their wonder

While I vainly muscle

With myself and surrender

Each grain of sand

Ushers infinite options

As the sea kisses land

In abundant emotion

The stars gaze

At me amazed

Not at what I am

But, at what I can

Waves race to their core

In pursuit of relentless thrill

The few that reach the shore

Are the ones with indomitable will

I walk straighter

Now, not fearing a fall

I push for something greater

And believe in standing tall....

The vast sky mirrors my soul

The waves reflect my goals

Life is hope

Life is finding my pattern in a kaleidoscope.....
