The Arsonists
The Arsonists
You won’t see them just anywhere yet they’re everywhere,
But every once in a while
When edifices go up in flames,
You’ll know it’s them.
If you look hard enough at the blazing fire,
In their colourful heat,
You will spot them
Smiling
Like pyromaniacs,
In the smoke of the ruins, you’ll
Hear them celebrating
The destruction they’re devoted to.
Because they succumb to entropy by catalysing it,
They clear up the mist by being a part of it.
They haven’t always been this way,
You did this
You did this to them
You were the gasoline to their fire,
And so volatile was it
That they got lost in combustion.
