“Take Shelter”
“Take Shelter”
Take shelter in the cold that surrounds you.
Take shelter near the fireplace if wise enough,
in this cold that surrounds you.
Be still, let the world take on or off its covers,
Be still, like the snowflakes they shall arrive,
They shall dingle and dangle and float and dance,
And so shall they go, they shall go,
even if allowed to feel alive in the air of your breath.
So, be still, thou shalt open not those window panes,
Let the snows adorn the window sill.
Take shelter in this cold that surrounds you,
Let warmth from within you comfort the weather
Be still,
Take shelter in this cold that surrounds you,
For summer knows its way, it shalt bloom
An ever blessing spring,
For you, for them, for all, so be still,
Take shelter in this cold that surrounds you
Take shelter near the fireplace, if wise enough.
