Take me back to those days
Take me back to those days
Take me back to those yester years,
Where I was filled with joy and fervour.
The good old days of laughter and mirth,
Of books and burdens lost in earth.
Take me back into the fond memories,
Of those I loved and who loved me back,
Take me to that time, where I was free,
Of freedom in speech and deeds decreed.
Take me back to that gentle time,
Where I was cared and not adjudged.
Take me to the days,I cursed to be gone,
for they are the fonder memories bygone.
I live in present weighed down by thoughts,
Of troubled senses and burdened lot.
Shackled by duties and wants of others,
I know not how to repose my tethers.
Take me to the place I once frequented,
With joy and peace alongside my brother.
Take me to the place I lost a game,
For a folly too humble to remind my name.
Take me back in time and place
Take me back and nestle me there.
