Surreal Sorcerer
Surreal Sorcerer
Enticing was the winter afternoon,
An alluring beloved whispering a tune.
Secret rendezvous,
Long overdue.
Camouflaged by the dim sunlight,
Prowled a wanton miscreant.
The winter evening,
Slowing creeping.
Akin a sorcerer of surreal spells,
He spread his arms to unfold a chill.
Curtain of mist,
Drops swift.
A horde materialized with menace,
Darkness, fog, frost, chill and haze.
All enveloping,
Encompassing.
Anxious to escape the onslaught,
Refuge of warm indoors I sought.
Coldness grew,
Out and within too.
Harsh, unforgiving, unrelenting,
The stoic long winter evening.
Melancholy,
Lonely.
