Sunset
Sunset
The Horizon called the Setting Sun,
Every step put a different hue on:
Yellow, Turmeric, Orange, and Crimson;
Winds, Warmth and Views, in Unison
Sent me whirling into Imagination
Everything's like the Sun's complexion:
From Bright to Dim and Dimmer
Man's life is so Similar.
Seeking shade during the Blazing Noon
But Unwilling to set the Peaceful Set Untune.
Seeking Pleasures when Life shimmers,
Yet, when Time turns, the Mind Flickers.
Every Set marks a step closer to Death:
Rise and Set, Merely Time's Breath.
Or should I give up this worldly Lament
To Life and Death become Indifferent.
Accept the end of a Day and proceed
To welcome a night of Quietude indeed.
I've let the Sun now go away;
Go usher somewhere a Mighty Day.
And turned about to the Full Moon Rise,
But that's another Story to Romanticise.
