Sun's Heat
Sun's Heat
Mild to severe ache in the head,
For me, this is what surely lies ahead.
After an outing in the afternoon sun,
At times, I wonder.
What is it that I have become?
I reminisce the times that's gone by,
When the sun would never terrify.
Scorching summer or the mild winter,
Outings, the sun would never hinder.
Riding around in my two-wheeler,
The trips were a complete thriller.
Never a thought towards the heat,
The rounds always kept me upbeat.
Today, a trip in the Sun deters me,
A headache is what I foresee.
With time, I do know that I've aged,
Though, for a fact, I'm not assuaged.
