Stillness

Stillness

1 min
140

Stillness all around her, she found herself trapped in its eerie clutches,

As though even the slightest movement would never be remotely possible,

As though someone had possessed the insides of her soul

And rendered her simply impossible of anything -

Any emotions, any distant feelings, any thoughts.

An odd emptiness had invaded her senses, stealing away from her

Any ability to feel the slightest semblance of hope.

A miserable melancholy in the stillness,

As much as she wanted not to feel the suffocation,

She found herself progressively sinking into that nothingness,

No way out, no escape, just confines of unwanted solitude,

Inescapable silence and unending numbness.
