Stages Of Life

We were kids in the first stage

Thinking we could play with time,

Thinking we could dream all day,

Thinking we could sleep all night,

We kept growing up from

Crawling to running away

With all the joy inside,

Only to know that we need to fall

To be able to rise,

So we fell and rose up to face

The next stage of our lives,

To be wild in our youth,

To fall in love with time,

We dreamed of having things together

When we were not even close,

We were still naive to believe

The paths we chose,

We fought and struggled till

Our hearts broke down,

Only to realize it's just a phase of life

And the surprises don't let us down,

We fall into the next stage

Where we keep grinding ourselves,

Trying to get to know the world

When we barely know ourselves,

We try to learn in the midst

Of how things fall,

We try to find someone

Who does not let us stall,

We bring them in our lives

With love, we dreamed,

Have a family of our own,

Accomplish just half a list of certain dreams,

We grow older till the frustrations begin,

When the money flows in, but time runs out,

We struggle hard to get together

When it all feels like crashing down,

Crashing down but we still survive,

We still hold each other's hands

And smile and rise,

We get older each day

Till the last stage hits us,

It's a pain to survive

But it's our grandkids

That keeps us,

We hope to see our kids

Grow in the future,

See how they see their beautiful future,

Whether we guided them right

It's all we have left to see,

It's all the time we have to survive,

Breathe till our hearts

Shares the love we have,

And die in the hopes that

We can still unite...
