Speak Out

When an injustice is happening around you,

You know what is false and what is true;

You know what happened, what is happening?

You don't speak out, your silence is deafening.

You are feeling apprehensive.

Your behavior is reprehensive.

For you cannot stop, those who are stopping you.

From speaking out about, what is true.

By keeping quiet, You are trying to save your skin

But your conscience, by its silence, can it ever win.

So speak out and break your silence.

Shout out against this violence.

The world is expectantly waiting for you.

To speak out about what is true;

Be not like a puppet in a show,

But tell the world what you know,

For you are fighting for a great cause, for what is true

Tomorrow this can be your loss too,

There is no more time to pause,

For there is no more time to pause.

Walk out of your comfort zone, yes you can,

Speak out the truth be like a man,

Stop living in a perpetual lie.

Speak and walk with your head held high.

For its a matter of great pride.

When you know how one lived and died

When they looked up to you, not knowing what to do,

You strode out, to speak out what was true.

For you did not make truth a casualty, by your silence,

You spoke out, and that made all the difference.

You made the difference, that will set you apart.
