Shadows

I saw my shadows in the sea,

You were standing there with me,

Smiles poured,

Sitting with you besides that shore,

And you jumped in to save that kid,

In that cold it felt tepid!

I screamed for help,

But even I couldn't​ tell,

What would happen the next second,

It all became so difficult to amend,

And the next moment you were lost,

All that I had was gone!

Swept away by the waves,

I wished we together hit the heavenly gates,

But you had to hurry,

You had to go,

No one did let me know,

The pain life would be, without holding your hand,

Like a handful of sand,

Slipping away from my fingers,

My breath was hers,

But now she is gone,

Leaving me to live here, and to die all alone!
