Shadow There

Walking along a long hot sunny day,

Under the scorching and withering heat and ray.

I felt something walking beside me,

At a distance, I could not see anyone far and near.

My heart pumping loud,

And my body sweat with shiver.

Each forward footsteps I thought-

" Oh! What a difficult way."

My body and mind so cold and astray I started to pray.

With weak soul and hope so light,

I turned around with some doubt but gay,

And saw it was nothing,

But my shadow there!
