SEVENTY - FIVE YEARS OF INDEPENDENCE…

Seventy-five years of Independence,

Has taught us to be free from dependence.

 Traverse the path of newness and innovation,

For peace, prosperity, and transformation.

The Preamble to the Constitution,

Has given fundamental Rights to be free from exploitation.

We bow to the real heroes of the nation,

Who vowed for the nation’s resurrection.

Long seventy-five years away from any foreign domination,

It’s time for reflection on our own actions.

We are proud of our growth as a strong nation,

Yet we are called a developing nation.

A cause of worry and reconsideration,

To find where the chain has been broken.

Some point at overpopulation while others say it’s faulty education.

We have lost much time on this discussion,

It’s time we learn the skill of cooperation and coordination.

Working with solidarity is the only solution,

As self-discipline and dedication are the keys to the growth of a nation.

We need to save our present and future generations,

From pain, poverty, and degeneration.

Let’s keep up our culture and traditions,

And bring an end to abjection and corruption.

We need to work towards the rehabilitation of the poor and downtrodden,

Restart a revolution for the restoration of a mighty nation.

Let’s celebrate our seventy-five years of independence

With a vow for growth progress and affluence.
