Serene Sleep

The clock continues to tickle and vibrate

Slow and steady my mom tried to wake me up

Intimidated, I purposely sound sleepy hoping she neglects

The stillness in me failed to persuade her.

Tactfully she lifted my blanket with a hidden message to get ready for the day

A score of zero in my mind clearly proved my selfishness.

Prejudiced, she again came only to the utter disappoint

A vicious dream occupying my futile mind.

Would have cycled my life in reverse

Distance that seems untravelled now

Silence within me, my dead innerself unable to utter even a word!!!
