Satisfaction

Satisfaction

A sudden wave of unfelt, unsolicited grief,

So hard to hide,

Leaving one meticulous and shattered,

Inevitably urging to put the pieces together.

Is that a riddle or is it the way out?

Is that the path chosen, or is it the one yet to be paved?

Run, sometimes your heart will say.

Stay, the voice of your conscience screams.

A diversion so blur to look ahead,

Neither verge seems any convincing,

Staying at the diversion looks most pacifying,

Yet that could not be achieved.

The urge to walk ahead, yet bruises on the feet drawing them back,

Wounds bleeding out, uncovered by dirt and those blemishes of unsaid pain.

Yet a dry, dusty loo brushing off this pain,

Somehow, all so satisfying! So satisfying!
