As a messenger of Lord Rama
In search of Goddess Sita.

Gaining entry into the fortress
As a solace to Sita (soul) in distress.
Beheld Devi Sita in Ravan’s upavan
In solitude and grief stricken

To her, his identity he unveils.
He promised her of Lord's arrival
To soon take her to safe haven.

To the Lord as a testimony.
