Sands Of Time

And I walked in the sands of time

Remembering you remembering me

As I stood in the meadows green

Walking past beyond my dreams.

To the bridge of heavens

Where you waited and hoped for my return

I travelled far and wide

Fighting the demons that lay aside.

I was a wanderer on the roads of time

And I met you in the sands of time

I remember your voice in my head

And the movement of your slender silhouette.

Walking past making haste

Afraid I would never see you again

I had reached on the cross roads of life

Where you got out of my sight.

I moved on as you asked

Taking what I still had

I traveled my path where it led

Becoming the warrior in red.

All was found yet something missed

The path was ending, signalling a new beginning

And I walked the sands of time

Remembering you remembering me.

Once more your voice echoed

Once more the beast of fate bellowed

I knew it was time

When you would say my name and be mine.

To reach the bridge of heaven

I had to open the gates of hell

Virgil was with Dante

While I was alone in hell

Again a voice came to me.

Said there was nothing to worry

To reach the bridge I must pass the inferno and purgatory

For everything took its toll

And I had to pay it full indeed.

And so I started and learned along the way

I was not alone your voice guided the way

Then came the reckoning

And I slayed the beast

Its heart yet to cease.

And I reached the bridge to heaven and the angels sang

You were there waiting and all fear ran

Finally our eyes met and the gods praised

And now we would walk the sands of time

Hand in hand, our fates intertwined
