Rise

Why it feels dark even in the light,

Sounds muffled in the noise.

Why the mind is unsettled and loud

Like it is taking all the voice.

When you were here

Everything was flourishing.

Now that you have gone

Even the thoughts are decaying.

I see the light far away,

Like I am at the bottom of the ocean pointing towards the sky.

I try to move towards the light

But sink deeper in the dark.

What I want is to get out

And fly towards the further lands of peace.

To float towards the sunset

With the calming breeze of bliss.

I see the seeds growing out of the earth,

Vines reaching the blazing star,

Ants forging the unknown paths,

And metal in flames shining the brightest.

So, I will rise

From the ashes of my ruins.

I will take a leap of faith, 

Like a small bird taking its first flight.

I will rise...
