Rain And Him

Rain And Him

It was 7 in the morning and I sat right beside the window to watch the rainfall.

I always found the rainy season to be the most calming, serene and beautiful as if the sky talks to us in 100 different emotions through the falling drops.

And just as the rain falls, I feel transported to some other time, to some other world.

To me, the rainy season meant books, coffee, poetry and me.

But then one day you walked in my room with a warm cup of coffee, sat right beside me and wrapped me in your arms, I could stay there forever. You played your favourite music on and I saw your eyes light up. I kept my books aside and snuggled into your arms.

My poetry and books lay untouched that rainy season.

I was never a person who romanticised rain. To me, it always meant sitting indoors with my favourite book and coffee but then you walked in and my life changed.

I craved for your presence, not knowing that you wouldn't stay here for another season.

Not knowing that I would be left all alone wanting the rain to stop.

Not knowing that I would end up hating the rainy season.

To The lover who left just like rain
