PULSATION

The throbbing, pounding beats

Of this vast sea of Life

Transfixed me ;

I espied such a variety

Of sailing vessels ;

Huge, domineering ships

Which did tend to

Overshadow the smaller

Insignificant skiffs.

But, after awhile

It became nebulous

As to who really

Dominated whom among

The overflowing waves

Of Existence... .

I even noticed some voyagers

Weary and listless from

The continuous passage

Seeking refuge on the

Few oases of islands

That they chanced upon

In their lonely path.

And then, I asked myself -

'What am I ?'

Just a tiny little ripple

On the surface of

The ocean of Time.
