It is quite apparent

That in the age of WhatsApp

Instagram and Facebook

Children have quite a choice to follow.

Rather than your footsteps.

Your morals as parents

Lofty or low, does it matter?

It appears that the influence of the

Peers is the one they cater.

World has become one of a rat race

Equip them with essentials so that they can face

Untether them from your expectation

Tell them a few things of caution.

Let them spread their wings and fly

Wallow in your sorrow and within yourself, you may cry.

Love is the freedom of choice

Grant them fully with a poise.

They may return to you once in a while

Moments to be cherished, you can hail.

So, these are some rules for parenting

I follow them, quite unrelenting.
