Pain

As I grow up and look around

I find pain often more enticing than joy

Why I ask myself often

Says life, coz it is pure and your own.

We share our success on social media, with friends and relatives galore

It swells pride and boosts our ego

But what about our wounded souls

Aah! Empathy and pain go alone

Pain is our true accomplice

It knows our deepest secrets

It loves us the way we are

Doesn't judge on our demeanor and tone.

Our best friends with us to love and companionship

Family seeks success and happiness

But one must experience pain

This rewards us with resilience to attain these goals and seek the unknown.
