“Our Valiant Guardian”

He serves the nation,

For its safety and protection,

He is the brave Indian soldier,

Striving to make her stronger.

They are fierce as a tiger,

With not a pinch of fear,

So is the audacious Indian soldier,

Endeavoring to make her bolder.

They spend sleepless nights,

Defying every attacker with tough fights,

It’s baffling to see their bravery and might,

But still, they are calm and quiet.

Ready they are to sacrifice their life,

Against every tide and strife,

Ready they are to flow oceans of blood,

Be it a war, disaster or a flood.

They fight relentlessly,

And bring our nation remarkable glory,

They protect us each night and day,

Be it arid, cold or scorching sun’s ray,

Be it icy storm,

Or a day, bright and warm,

They confront every trouble,

With their courage all admirable.

Even while they die,

They ply,

“Don’t shed a tear,

For never did I fear or drear,

I tried my best,

But it pierced my chest,

I retaliated every attack,

And never showed my back,

I will come back again,

For my motherland,

Face every bane and pain,

And perish again on this sand,

For time flies,

But a soldier never dies!
