Once Rain Falls
Once Rain Falls
Once rain falls,
What is left of the cloud?
Only the memory remains,
The memory and what is left behind.
Which even then,
Won't last.
Once rain falls,
What happens to the ground underneath?
Does it stand strong,
Or does it erode away?
And if it does erode,
What happens to those that depend on it?
Do they survive and thrive,
Or do they whither and falter?
And if so does the world stop and watch, or does it go on as nothing happened?
Once rain falls,
How much does it impact,
A little, a lot, or not at all?
Whoever ponders,
Should not squander,
Their happiness nor their sadness on such a thing, for rain will almost always fall, and we can't change, well change.
We can try but we will only fail, for that is the most impossible task out there.
