Tragedy Action

Oh! Mother Earth

Oh! Mother Earth

Oh, Mother Earth, you once looked so resplendent,

by lush greenery, a sight so transcendent.

Breezes, refreshing and cool, no need for AC,

Winters were delightful, no need for a heater.

The rainy season, a boon for children's play,

In the rainwater, with friends, paper boats race.

Your lap, a paradise, a motherly embrace,

Now, development and greed have left a trace.

Trees felled for buildings, railways, and progress unkind,

Animals suffer, lacking green forests to find.

Electricity demands soaring, generated by burning fossils,

Greenhouse gasses released, trapping sun's heat,

Resulting in climate change, warming on the rise,

A perilous situation before our eyes.

Hills cut, mining illegal, nature's beauty fades,

Rivers are choked with plastic, marine life receding.

Air pollution rising, afflicting mankind,

Summers too hot, winters harsh, unpredictable rains.

Hear the plea of our weeping mother Earth,

We must strive, proving our worth, bring her smile back.

Let's wake up, join hands, and take a sacred vow,

To save our dearest Earth, starting now.

Save trees, grow trees, let greenery thrive,

Protect the animals, help them survive.

Generate renewable energy, a sustainable choice,

Reduce carbon emissions, let's all raise our voice.

Plastic waste, a menace, let's say no,

Recycle waste and create useful items to show.

United, the new generation shall stand,

To heal Mother Earth, lend her a hand.

Keep the environment pollution-free,

In harmony, let's live, in unity.

Together, let's weave a net of lush green,

Around Mother Earth, a future serene.
