Oh Dear Rain Please Come
Oh Dear Rain Please Come
Decades have passed,
Since the old stone has bathed in raindrops.
The sky is dry,
So is black earth.
Thirsty eye looks up,
Pleading silently.
Long, long ago there was a time
When it rained every monsoon,
With trees shaking their wet heads louder.
But now,
Everything has changed.
Heart struggles to beat.
It looks for some warmth,
Cuddling at one side of the atrium,
An artery jerks and sleeps again.
Oh dear rain, please come.
Flood of water,
Touch the soul!
Spread life.
Wash all pain,
Known or unknown!
Season's first raindrop kisses the twig,
"I'm here now. Grow and live."
