Of The Stars Far Away
Of The Stars Far Away
When I sit in the evening,
After a heavy day,
I look up in the sky,
And there I see,
Millions of diamonds,
And pieces of dreams,
Shining as bright as day.
I see Them,
I call Them,
To take me up,
Into the Sky,
For a moment,
To forget my life,
And the tensions as much.
I dream of a life,
Of another world,
A perfect life,
A painless one
I ask them to take me too,
To places where I can't reach,
To places where eternity awaits.
They smile and shake their heads,
"Wake up, O wake up
You silly human!
There is still a lot to do,
There are still heights to reach,
There are still mountains to cross,
And blunders to make,
Before you can rest your feet,
There are still stones to walk upon,
And memories to make,
Before you can sleep,
Like a baby unaware."
"So sit back, hold tight,
And enjoy your interesting imperfections,
And let us,
Weep and wallow in our miserable perfections."
