Ode to a stranger
Ode to a stranger
Your first sight,
Made me bewilder,
Had we met hither?
Trying to recollect,
You kept an index finger,
Shut my lips,
And claimed me yours.
I was rebellious,
A woman who never bowed,
Then why now?
To, you, stranger,
With no familiar people around.
With no protests,
I confessed,
A person who grew unknown to me,
Was it You or me?
A dream, a dream,
No not possible,
Your touch,
A touch so real,
That weighs beyond reality.
Oh, You! My Stranger!
Had I just known you well,
For living with your memories,
Aches my heart to hell.
Oh, My Stranger!
I pray,
That you are alright,
For you were an unknown world,
Who sheltered me,
From a cruel earth.
