O Maa Kalika

You are the chief of the Mahavidyas,

You are the destroyer of evil forces.

You protect the innocent,

And diminish the wicked.

You are the divine protector

and bestow moksha or liberation.

You are the slayer of Raktabij. 

You are the mother of language and all mantras.

You are unfathomable and divine

You are Mahakaali,

You are Dakshinakali,

You are Samhara kali or Vama kali,

You are Raksha kali,

You are Bhadra Kali,

You are Guhya kali.

There are infinite forms of you, O Divine Mother!

You gave the blessing of knowledge to Kalidasa.

 You gave the title of Vikatakavi to Tenali Ramakrishna.

And blessings to him to be acclaimed as a great poet in the court of king Krishnadevaraya.

You are the Divine Benevolent Mother,

who takes care of her devotees.

O Maa Kaali,

Do keep your blessings on us, your devotees.
