Night

Such a beautiful scenario...

Gazing at those starry nights,

Gazing at those city lights,

So similar yet so different...

 

When the night comes...

It brings along darkness,

But those stars...

They resemble the ray of hope in that darkness!

 

Oh! I remember those nights!

When I hoped...

That things would never change,

And situations would remain just the same!

But those nights never lasted for ever,

I lost those rays of hope in the bright sunlight!

 

It cleared my vision,

Though it raised the tension,

But now I know,

That times have changed...

 

Many days have passed now...

And when this night comes,

I still remember those times...

And now when I gaze at those starry nights,

I only remember the dreams that I dreamt,

Those dreams that broke...

The moment I got engulfed by the darkness,

I only remember the times,

When promises broke...

The moment my self-esteem shattered!

 

But somehow I lost myself in the process,

To keep some situations same...

Somehow I lost myself in the darkness of the night,

In the process of finding the ray of hope...

 

Yet that night has its beauty...

Yet it stands as an everlasting mystery!

And although... It reminds me of those wounds which are never

gonna heal,

Yet it gives me the strength to remember them and never repeat

them again!
