Relinquishing, the year that’s ending 

A year of hardships is now behind me

Memories are ingrained…visions I see 

A new clean slate, I’ve been given

Cleansing turmoil, from this world we live in 

A hidden identity, behind a mask

What another looks like, you may ask

Unkind words may have been said

Let sleeping dogs lie in their bed 

Transgressions made…words I regret 

The change will come around…soon I bet

Thankful for each day, I am blessed!

New resolutions, will be my quest

Challenging myself, to be the best I can

Mistakes no longer now, it was then…

For once gone, the time has been wasted

A chance for renewal is long-awaited

Replacing bad thoughts, with the good
